- Attention-Deficit /Hyperactivity Disorder: diagnosis and medical management of ADHD including associated comorbidities.
- Developmental disabilities including cerebral palsy, spina bifida, intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorders and visual and hearing impairments.
- Delayed language, social communication, motor skills and cognitive ability.
- Diagnosis and management of medical conditions contributing to poor school performance.
- Detection of a developmental cause for behavioural problems in the preschool child.
- Follow-up of infants and children who may be at risk for specific developmental delays:
- Genetic disorders.
- Preterm and low birth weight infants.
- History of birth complications or prenatal complications.
- Meningitis and other postnatal central nervous system insults.
- Family history of disability.
- Addressing parental concerns regarding the child’s development and providing them with information and options so that they can receive guidance on the child’s condition and future educational needs.
- Ongoing monitoring of development, liaison with and co-ordination of multidisciplinary support team and tertiary specialists involved in the child’s management.
- Tics, Tourette syndrome and other habit disorders.
